Free Kindergarten
With the introduction of the Free-Kinder Initiative as a part of government early childhood reforms, sessional kindergarten is now free for all children in three and four year old kindergarten programs at Manchester Preschool.
Please note: Children cannot do a second year of 3-year-old kindergarten.
4-year-old kindergarten is also funded for one year only, unless the child meets eligibility requirements to attend a second year. We highly recommend that children attend 3-year-old kindergarten in the year they turn four-years-old, and attend 4-year-old kindergarten in the year they turn five-years-old.
Children are only able to receive the government funding at one service (for example if your child attends Manchester Preschool for their funded kindergarten program, but also attends a child care program – you cannot receive the funding at both services).
